Meeting a performance standard reflects measured contaminant reduction under standardized test conditions; it does not certify the system for any particular household’s water conditions or use case.
In testing commissioned by VIOMI and conducted by SGS, the system reduced TDS by up to 91.9 percent and heavy metals by up to 96.9 percent. Those figures come from manufacturer-commissioned third-party testing and are separate from the NSF standards above.

Fitting into daily household use
Cooking water gets the same filtration as drinking water from the system. While many households filter their drinking water, they often still cook with unfiltered water from the same tap. Because the system meets NSF/ANSI 42 performance standards for chlorine, taste, and odor and reduces TDS at the faucet, that same filtered water goes straight into a pot of rice, a pan of sauce, or a kettle.
