TAMPA, Fla. – Robert Felder, founder of Bearbottom Clothing, a leading menswear line, has earned his place in the 2024 North American Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Felder, 29, is featured in the Retail and E-commerce category. This category showcases founders of expanding consumer brands and innovative retail technology startups.
“I was extremely excited to be included on the list featured for Retail and E-commerce,” says Felder. “This is an amazing recognition for me and our company. Operating outside of the typical media markets and industry hubs of LA and NYC can often make gaining exposure or recognition more difficult. Being included felt like a testament to the brand we have built and our mission.”
Forbes 30 Under 30 recognizes the most inspiring and talented young leaders and entrepreneurs in the world. It honors 600 trailblazers from North America across 20 different industries who are creating impacts in their communities through their entrepreneurship.
This curated list not only spotlights the remarkable achievements of each young entrepreneur in their careers but also affords them a platform to broadcast their stories to the public, fostering a collective source of knowledge and inspiration. The evaluation process takes into account various factors, including revenue, funding, scale, social impact, potential and inventiveness, with Forbes staff and certified judges rigorously assessing candidates.
Bearbottom Clothing’s Story
Growing up on the West Coast of Florida, Felder was inspired back in 2014 to create more clothing options with the features and comfort needed year-round for any activity. What started as an idea to sell shorts online, has since developed into a successful adventure-ready men’s clothing line. Bearbottom Clothing is now on the path to making $25 million in sales this year, according to Felder.
As Bearbottom ascends to a prominent position in the fashion industry, Felder prioritizes the distinctive elements that set his brand apart. His unique leadership style underscores the significance of integrity, social responsibility and creativity, shaping Bearbottom into a bootstrapped brand rooted in sustainability and philanthropy.
“I think the main thing for my legacy would probably be that we helped a lot of people along the way,” says Felder in his interview with Forbes 30 Under 30 senior editor, Kristin Stoller. “For every item we sell right now we donate a meal to a child in need. So we are soon going to surpass a million meals donated. As long as people can remember us for doing things like that I think that would be really awesome.”
