The new app is part of the company’s strategy to deliver long-term value to schools and the students and parents they serve as they seek to improve student safety

Denver, CO – June 21, 2021 – Ohiya Networks, a leading virtual classroom provider for educational institutions, today announced the launch of their new app, Trouve, for contactless student pick-up and drop-offs. Available for Android and iOS devices, Trouve is part of the line of classroom and school management tools offered by Ohiya Networks to support educational institutions during and post-COVID-19.

Said Claudio Garcia, Founder of Ohiya Networks, “we understand the concerns with wanting to maintain safe distances to prevent the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus. We’ve combined that need with the desire of parents and teachers to ensure the safety of the kids in their charge.”

The goal of the app is to facilitate touchless student pick-ups and drop-offs to allow everyone to maintain social distancing to limit the continued spread of the virus. Post-COVID-19, Trouve will continue to be a safe and secure way for parents to arrange pick-up of their kids by trusted family members and friends.

This addition to Ohiya Networks’ suite of educational apps and features illustrates the company’s constant innovation and initiative in supporting educational development while maintaining the safety of students, parents, teachers, and staff.

The new app is easy to use and comes with a suite of security features built in to protect parent and teacher interactions. With access release via QR code for parents and dismissal authorization management for school administrators, it’s a seamless process to ensure the safety of kids during school pick-ups.

Innovative features in Ohiya Networks’ Trouve app includes:

  • State-of-the-art biometric technology. The app scans the face of the parent and generates a one-time-use QR code that can be shared with a person of trust. This technology allows teachers and school administrators to know that they are indeed receiving an update from an authorized parent.
  • Full encryption of messages. All messages between the parent and teachers/administrators are fully encrypted during transmission to prevent unwanted interference.
  • Safer delegation of school pick-ups. Parents can schedule and delegate pick-ups with family members or friends, with school administrators and teachers being confident that they are releasing the kids to someone they can trust.
  • Easier and faster pick-ups. With the track and trace feature, Trouve helps to reduce congestion at pick-up areas as school administrators know when and where the designated person is, to allow students to exit to the pick-up area.

The launch of the Trouve app is the latest in a line of innovative developments from Ohiya Networks for charter, private, and public schools to improve administrative efficiency and school safety. Ohiya Networks is dedicated to digital transformation in the educational system and becoming a leader in education software.
