Symba and AITHERAS Form Partnership to Enable Federal Government Access to Virtual Internships through Management Platform

February 18 05:42 2021

Symba and AITHERAS announced a partnership to enable federal agencies to access virtual internships through Symba’s management platform. This platform is tailored to each agency’s needs, with a goal of making successful internship programs more accessible and engaging for young professionals.

Federal government agencies have always been able to hire and employ interns, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become difficult and risky to hire anyone in-house. Despite the setbacks, remote working has opened up new avenues in the workforce. It allows employees to retain jobs, gives agencies access to a vast talent pool from anywhere in the country, and offers  employees more flexibility with no need to worry about their commute.

Symba will provide a platform that allows agencies to create a virtual work-chat space equivalent to a central office. Symba will also offer internship handbooks for managers and prospective interns to prepare for remote working.

“Our team at Symba is on a mission to open up the workforce using remote internships as a pathway. I was one of the very first remote interns with the US Department of State while in college in Tucson, Arizona. Remote internships transformed my career! We are working to provide organizations with the necessary resources to scale remote programs. We are excited to partner with AITHERAS to scale our impact,” says Ahva Sadeghi, CEO & Co-Founder of Symba.

AITHERAS will support Symba by bringing its knowledge and expertise on program management and security when collaborating with federal agencies.

“Internships are opportunities that can open doors for many individuals from diverse backgrounds. I personally can attest to that as I was a F1-visa student from Korea whose first internship was with a federal commission enacted by the U.S. Congress! Symba will function as an internship platform that can benefit even the post-pandemic world as federal agencies and corporations shift towards a hybrid working environment,” shares Sohee Chu, Chief Innovation Officer at AITHERAS, LLC.

This program’s objective is to support young, engaging professionals during these challenging times by providing opportunities for individuals to gain work experience, as well as offer solutions to agencies searching for potential employees.
